hey

so once again, i'm making changes to my site and i'm not ready to present.

either way, i want to embrace this aspect of myself; we'll do it live :7

the reason for my previous break:
- i had some personal struggles.
- was working in a vacuum with no feedback.
- had no idea who, if anyone was visiting my site.
- made a bunch of new systems and managing them was overwhelming.

what social life?

i had yet to implement a contact/chat system or leave an email address, so there was a lack of social interaction.

i ended up trying a different site: spacehey! based on myspace exactly as it was in the early 2000's, it allowed me to continue learning html and css (but no js) while also making friends and checking out each other's pages.

while this was cool for a bit, and i learned alot, i needed something more. i ended up using a forum for the first time, alonelylife. this further satisfied my need for social interaction. the very functional forum design was refreshing compared to spacehey's desire to keep myspace's outdated system's as they were.

back in the sack

still, i was inspired by spacehey's layout which led me to revamp my original neocities page; using the profile i designed there, based on my v2 design here, i created the v3 you see now. i'm quite proud and happy with it.

of course, there's still alot i want to do. i spent weeks getting to this current state and it functions well; it's time to populate the site with content. i do have a ton written up; i also plan to repost some of my recent writing during the break. it'll just take time to format it correctly.
